Ann Fitzgerald trained in the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego from 2002-2006, passing the California Boards in 2006. She has a master’s degree in traditional oriental medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist. She opened her first practice in San Diego in 2007. Since then she has combined her work in international health with her practice of traditional chinese medicine. She has had small private practices while working in Botswana, Uganda, Guatemala and Angola. She enjoys working in a community clinic setting and serving groups and families together. During her studies she did clinic rotations in the San Diego Children’s Hospital and at the integrated Seniors clinic. She studied in Chengdu China doing rotations in internal medicine, acupuncture and diabetes specifically. Ann is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese. She is very grateful for the opportunity to work in Armonia Health’s Saturday clinics. Ann has a master’s degree in public health and works for the University of North Carolina’s MEASURE Evaluation project.
